The ColdFeet Foundation is run by Gopi and Ranju in Kathmandu, Nepal. Gopi and Ranju run an adventure and trekking company and use their contacts and expertise to help support rural communities whilst providing trekkers and volunteers with a fully immersing and fulfilling experience.
I have worked with Gopi and ColdFeet Adventure for a number of years and I have been out to the rural village schools a number of times over the years. Gopi’s story is incredible and I want to support the Foundation with their educational rebuilding projects in the Dhading region.
Our challenge is to raise £3,250 to help raise enough money to complete the building of the library and ensure it is appropriately stocked. We are also looking to fund the monthly wages of a librarian who can ensure the library is well used and help provide the children with ongoing literacy and numeracy support.
We hope we can make a huge difference in making sure the rebuilding of this school, devastated by the earthquake in 2015, has a library fit for purpose and sustainable for the children now and into the future.
